North American Longboard Champs!
Posted on November 22 2019

Stewart team riders dominated the podium at the Rincon Surf Fest WSL North American Longboard Championships last weekend at Domes Beach in Rincon, Puerto Rico, with Tony Silvagni taking 3rd and Steven McLean bringing home the win!
Tony was "over the moon with how good the waves were" and said he was "loving [his] new modified Tipster model" which is currently in R&D as a potential new single fin model to be released in 2020. After posting some solid scores earlier in competition, Tony ultimately came up short in the semi-finals, choosing the wrong wave in the set and finishing an equal 3rd. Always looking on the bright side, Tony's "live & learn" philosophy is sure to benefit him as he's hungrier than ever heading into the last stop of the WSL World Longboard Tour in Taiwan.
Steven McLean enjoyed the "pristine conditions all weekend at Domes", cruising to the finals on his Ripster model. Good friend Parker Sawyer proved to be a tough competitor, but in the end Steven was crowned 2019 North American Longboard Champ! He was "so stoked to take his first WSL win" and is looking forward to competing in Taiwan next month.
