Pro surfer Tony Silvagni has been traversing the globe to compete for over twenty years. He’s surfed waves around the world—from China, to Taiwan, Bali, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and Peru—all places far away from his home of Carolina Beach, North Carolina. He’s a USA surf team gold medalist and in 2019, Silvagni ranked 5th in the World Surf League Longboard Tour.
When in Hawaii, you can find Tony surfing the famous breaks of Haleiwa, Chuns, Diamond Head, & Ala Moana Bowls. On one of his most epic Hawaii trips, Tony gave surf lessons to President Obama’s Secret Service agents. He’s been sharing the stoke of surfing for over 15 years as a coach and ocean safety teacher at the Tony Silvagni Surf School.
Tony ran several charity surf contests to raise awareness and funds for Lyme Disease. He raised over $20,000 for charity in loving memory of Craig Marshall at the Craig Marshall Surf Contest, and he was the honoree for the Pipeline for a Cure & Cystic Fibrosis Foundation event.
Tony strives to be a good role model both on and off the board and his infectious stoke and positive personality make him an epic advocate for the sport of surfing, and we love having him on the Stewart team!
