CASEY POWELL

A recent addition to the Stewart team, Casey Powell is one of the most humble ripping surfers we know. His classic style makes every maneuver look effortless and his chill personality gets him an invite on all our favorite surf trips. Originally from San Clemente and growing up at San O, you can still find Casey casually ripping at all the local SoCal breaks today, when he gets a break from his 9-5 as a lawyer, that is.

Best memory on a Stewart:  During one of the bigger south swells in 2020, Bill took a couple of us out in his boat loaded with boards.  He dropped us off and we surfed a few different waves in our area just paddling from the boat.  Cody, Jackson and I were trading off riding the XLT and the 949 Comp.  It was a pretty epic time. 

If you weren’t a pro surfer what would you want to be:  I better say lawyer.  That’s my side gig. 

Hero or person you look up to:  My dad.  He taught me how to surf when I was young and took me to surf practice before he left for work in the mornings.  He also had my family down at Sano from open to close every single weekend growing up.

Funny fact about yourself: I have a horrendous wiener dog living in my house.  He bites my friends and barks incessantly, but he can also be an endearing little guy, so we keep him around.
